Widelode was born in 2000 at Dartington College of Arts where two of the three partners met and started experimenting with all things AV. Now a limited company Widelode provide a range of professional services alongside our performance persona; from graphic design, video editing, event lighting and PA; to composing music and web design.

Since moving to Cardiff's Coal Exchange in 2003 Widelode have become an integral part of the cities entertainment scene. This base soon led us further afield performing at such auspicious and diverse venues as The Royal Festival Hall, Hay Festival of Literature, Space, Bristol Academy and The Reading, Leeds, Green Man and Compass Point music Festivals. Working with a wide variety of artists, musicians and performers including Arctic Monkeys, Bravecaptain, Mob Deep, Steve Lawler, Charlie Barber, The Fall, Nintin Sawney, Julliette Lewis and the licks, Rabab Ghazoul, Harry Choo Choo Romero, Howard Marks, The Proclaimers, Pendulum, Scott DeLahunta, Welsh National Opera, Steven Sondheim and Sepultura. We are particularly pleased to be one of the few organisations in the universe to list Steven Sondheim and Sepultura in the same sentence.

The addition of our third partner in 2005 completed the Widelode triangle and widened our skill base to incorporate design in print, web and motion graphics. This expansion has allowed us to widen our client base and continue a period of development which thus far has seen us become the first production house to record, edit, author and sell an event DVD on the evening of the event (we are in consultation with the Guinness Book as we speak).
