Outdoor Projection

Outdoor projection for SAFLE

Widelode have been wrapping up warm and heading out into the great outdoors recently with a run of large scale outdoor projections.

Public Art Wales / Safle 

When the organisation responsible for public art in Wales wanted to unveil their new name and branding - they opted for a dramatic logo projection onto one of Cardiff Bay’s most iconic public landmarks.  The name chosen for the national arts organisation is Safle, Welsh for place or position. The site chosen for the unveiling was the Water Tower, adjacent to Wales Millennium Centre. Easily recognisable as a key location in the BBCs "Doctor Who" spin-off "Torchwood" the Water Tower is an imposing 70' all stainless steel behemoth. 

As you might imagine; projecting onto a a reflective surface is not the easiest task in the world. We tackled this obstacle by applying an area of adhesive projection surface to the tower itself.

TigerTiger Burning Bright

To celebrate their first birthday Cardiff based what's on website Urban Traffic threw a little soiree at the city's TigerTiger, and Widelode were there to help with a little outdoor projection. 3/11/2007

CHCymru Campaign

Coal Exchanged
